- CD LOOK - Version 1.0
- Documentation
- (c) Bourbaki, Inc. 1993
- (208)342-5849
- INTRODUCTION
- =============
- CD Look is an image viewing utility that provides "thumbnails" of all the
- images included on the FRACTOOLS CD. It also enables you to COPY, PRINT, get
- FILE INFO, and VIEW selected images full screen with a variety of effects.
-
- This restricted version of CD Look is designed specifically for use with the
- FracTools CD. It can be used with other CD ROMs, or directories of GIF, BMP
- and PCX images, however, it will NOT write out the associated thumbnail icon
- file, which renders the display of thumbnails "instantly." Other CDs, or image
- directories, will have to be scanned each time they are mounted or accessed.
- If you are interested in a full working version of CD Look Pro, give us a call.
-
- Note - CDLOOK likes to have AS MUCH MEMORY as possible. A MINIMUM of 512K
- available is required to run it. The less memory it has, the slower the
- performance will be opening multiple Browser windows, refreshing the
- screen... It is even possible that it may crash if you open too many
- Browser windows. We RECOMMEND the use of a MEMORY MANAGER to load
- whatever you can "high." The more memory available, the better.
-
- RUNNING CD Look
- ===============
- To run CD Look you MUST be LOGGED INTO the ROOT directory of your CD ROM
- drive, or it must be referenced in your DOS PATH command. This is to assure
- that it finds the associated CDLOOK.ICN fractal database file.
-
- To RUN the program, type CDLOOK and press <Enter> - (or run FTMENU)
-
- CD Look defaults to 640x480 - 256 color mode. You can change this using
- the Mode option in the System Menu, which is accessed by clicking on the icon
- in the left corner of the Main Menu bar. For more information on Modes, see
